When referring to glacial, Quaternary, and Holocene terms in Journal of Paleolimnology, the following are NOT CORRECT:
Lateglacial, lateglacial, Late Glacial, late Glacial, Late glacial, Last Glacial Maximum, Early Quaternary, Mid-Quaternary, Late Quaternary, Early Holocene, Mid-Holocene, Late Holocene
.
The words early, mid, and late can, of course, be used in association with Quaternary or Holocene or any stratigraphic time unit, but they must appear in lowercase (e.g., late Holocene; early Quaternary; late glacial) unless the modifier is the first word of the sentence.
