Domino Theatre Presents Run For Your Wife

Domino Theatre presents an evening of fun and laughter with its production of the British comedy “Run For Your Wife” by Ray Cooney. Hilarious one liners, mistaken identities, and improbable situations will have the audience chuckling throughout.

The play was first produced in 1982 and although its language is dated in places, it has recently acquired a new relevance with the recent challenge in British Columbia to the laws about bigamy. However, these wives do not know about each other and seeing the difficulties having two wives can present, few of us would have the desire or indeed the energy to cope with more than one partner at a time!

“Run for Your Wife” brings us the comedic talents of actors you may not have seen on the Domino stage before, Heidi Dennis, Tom Derreck, Andrea Hiltz, Rob Maizen and Isaac Lloyd, and of the more familiar faces of Matt Davis, Terry Wade and Dick Miller (who starred in the role of John in Domino’s 1990 production). Two apartments in one set and many doors and entrances present some challenges that are well handled by set designer, Liz Schell and stage manager, Marion Savage.

You can enjoy a delightful spring evening and catch “Run For Your Wife” at the Baby Grand Theatre on Thursday May 12th, 2011 and plays Thursday to Saturday until May 28th. There is also a performance on Tuesday May 24th. Curtain time is 8 pm. Tickets are available at $18 each plus Grand Theatre charges through the Grand Theatre box office at 218 Princess Street or by telephone at 613-530-2050. Tickets are also available at the box office on the evening of the performance subject to availability. Members, Seniors and Student tickets are $14 each plus the Grand Theatre charges at the door on Thursdays; again subject to availability.
