DOMINO THEATRE PRESENTS - IN THE BRAND NEW
DAVIES FOUNDATION AUDITORIUM
“WHAT MILDRED DID!”
A COMEDY
BY JOHN GREEN
A new theatre at 52 Church Street, a new comedy by Oshawa author John Green, running January 19 to February 4, 2012
Domino Theatre is preparing a riotous new comedy to introduce you to the new theatre being built right now at 52 Church Street in Portsmouth Village. (Church Street is three blocks long and starts on King Street West and ends at Garrigan Park).
Mildred is the full time housekeeper for Gwen and Charles Harrison III. The household also includes Lorenzo, the very colourful cook. Charles has a problem – he acts out so he can write “the world’s greatest murder mystery play”, but he’s a lousy writer and it’s getting him down.
Enter mousy Mildred. She has done something that makes Charles alternately excited and deeply depressed.
Throw in Lorenzo in a huff, Gwen feeling neglected and Mr. Fenwick, the publisher, who feels great affection for them all and you have a crazy, funny mix that gets more and more complicated.
Liz Schell, who most recently directed “Postmortem” for Domino, is our director. Our team includes Grant Buckler, Pauline Jodoin, Peter Cassidy, David L. Smith, Sarah Toomey, Marlene Mackenzie, Dave and Leslee Oliver, Jessica Pelletier and Meryl Green and producers Lily Baird and Bob Brooks.
Starring Terry Wade, Joy Worsnup, Brent Neely, David Lay and Katie Flower Smith as Mildred.
The play runs Thursday through Saturday January 19 to February 4, 2012. Start time 8 pm.
Domino members, seniors, students tickets Thursdays only $14.00 at the Domino door, 52 Church Street, subject to availability. Once the theatre is up and running, call 613-549-2735 for information.
Tickets $18.00 each through the Grand Theatre Box Office, 218 Princess Street, in person, online www.kingstongrand.ca, telephone 613-530-2050 or at the Domino door, 52 Church Street, the night of the performance.
