The New Domino

The front entrance to the new Domino Theatre in the former Harold Harvey Arena at 52 Church St.

The new Domino Theatre is now open in the old Harold Harvey Arena, now the Harold Harvey Centre. Finishing touches are still under way. Our 59th season opened on January 18th and runs until June, consisting of five plays. We'll return to our usual seven-play, September-to-June season this fall.

Fundraising continues. Some costs have gone up — such is the way of this type of build — and there are many finishing touches to be put on our new home.

We are continuing to receive donations and are thrilled at the support of over 400 people and foundations who have sent in donations and/or attended a fundraising event.

59th Season

Since its unusual beginning between feature films at the old Odeon Theatre, Domino has grown to a full seven-play winter season. Each season offers an appealing mix of drama, comedy and mystery from the Canadian and world stages.

Domino is truly a "community" theatre. People from all walks of life pool their skills to present productions of a consistently high calibre. As a member of the Eastern Ontario Drama League and Theatre Ontario, Domino is actively involved in the Ontario amateur theatre community and has acted as host to several annual festivals. Many Domino people and productions have been recognized for their excellence at the regional and provincial levels.

With a Board of Directors elected by the membership, and with advertised auditions open to all, Domino welcomes the participation of interested volunteers both on stage and behind the scenes.
