Queen's Freedom to Read Week 2015 (Day Three) took place at Speaker's Corner, Stauffer Library on Tues. 26 Feb. 2015. Among the readers were Laura Carter and Emily Mackwood. At the end of the event, Prof. Tsvi Kahana from Queen's Law School gave a talk called "When the Writer Is Not a Hero."

William Wilfred Campbell Poetry Festival (Sun. 1 June 2014)

Dr May presented the keynote address at the first annual William Wilfred Campbell Poetry Festival in Wiarton, Ontario. The festival began with bagpiper Harvey Brush's rendition of "The Campbells are Coming." Then, the Mayor of South Bruce Peninsula, John Close, proclaimed 1 June William Wilfred Campbell Day in Wiarton, and presented Festival Director Paul Kastner with the official proclamation. After the Festival, participants had the opportunity to visit Campbell's chidhood home on Gould Street in Wiarton.
