The agency is a community-based rehabilitation program
for young people with drug, alcohol, gambling and behavior problems.
Our program offers counselling, consultation, public education and preventative
components. Kairos was founded in 1973 in response to growing community
needs. It is separately incorporated as a charitable organization and
is associated with Queen's University, Kingston.
We believe that people have the right to make choices
about their lives. That is to say, people will choose different methods
of conducting their lives which they find satisfying and productive.
Our role is to support and encourage change in life style that may be
necessary for the fuller enjoyment of a healthier, more satisfactory
and productive socially responsible life style.
