MITE RULES -2008

Mite-Mixed

1. A regulation game shall be 5 innings or 1 ¾ hours whichever comes first. Any inning started must be completed regardless of time limit unless the team up to bat is winning in the final inning.
2. An inning will consist of 3 outs or 5 runs whichever comes first.
3. No lead off until the ball crosses home plate
4. NO STEALING
5. Third strike is an automatic out.
6. A pitcher can only pitch 3 innings per game. One pitch thrown in an inning counts as an inning pitched. No pitcher may pitch 3 consecutive innings.
7. No Player shall sit twice UNTIL all players have sat once.
8. A minimum of 7 players are need to start a legal game, any player may be added to the line up at any time during the game, BUT must be inserted at the bottom of the order.
9. Infield fly rule is not in effect.
10. 8’ circle rule is not in effect.
11. A run can only be scored by a ball put into play by the batter (i.e. a caught foul ball or a fair hit ball) or a runner being forced home by a walk
12. THE BALL remains in play until it comes under control of an infielder standing in the infield.
13. There is no over throw by an infielder. WHEN THE BALL IS UNDER CONTROL BY AN INFEILDER “THE RUNNER MUST REMAIN AT THEIR BASE THAT THEY ARE AT”. (This rule is in place to ensure the players learn where to throw the ball)

15. Ball 11”inches
16. Pitchers ---30 feet
17. Age 9 and under as of Jan 1 2008
18. Winning team to email - division - game number - score and location played to: steve.ferguson@queensu.ca
19. Winning teams must keep score sheet for future reference if necessary.
20. No email = No points awarded.
