THE LAB (Winter 2012)

Lab Instructor — Fern Gauthier

Experiments in evolutionary genetics are difficult to engineer for large classes but we have worked to develop a lab that illustrates several key principles. We will use everyone's favourite organism, the fruit fly Drosophila, to perform a simple experiment in evolution and analyze and interpret the data. Rounding out the lab will be tutorials to complement the lectures.
